Designed to teach the Ice Technician how to install curling ice with a review of maintenance procedures.

Participants must have one of the following pre-requisites/statuses:

  • Trained Club Ice Technician Assistant;
  • World Curling Federation – Introduction to Curling Ice Maintenance (online course);
  • 12 months working in a curling facility under the supervision of a Certified Curling Ice Technician;
  • Former Curling Canada Level 1 Ice Technician Course; or
  • Former Facility Operator Assistant training.

Replaces old “Level 2”

Participants can expect to learn about:

  • Floors and Draining
  • Spraying and Flooding
  • Painting
  • Taping
  • Ice Equipment
  • Plant Equipment
  • Rocks
  • Pebbling and Water Quality
