Building Description
The Rideau Curling Club is three floors: basement, main level and second floor.
Basement: Locker Rooms and Washrooms
Main Level: Lounge, Universal Accessible Washroom, Bar and Ice Surface.
Second Level: Viewing Area, Bar, Hall and Kitchen.
Parking
There are no designated accessibile permit holder parking spots.
The parking lot is paved.
Main Entrance
There is a ramp into the main entry.
The entry door does not have an automatic door operator.
Lounge
There is a second set of doors to get into the lounge. They are heavy and there is no automatic door operator.
There are three stairs into the lounge.
A ramp is available by buzzing the manager or bartender, before entering the second doors. The ramp is quite steep.
The building has two floors, plus a basement. Only the main floor is accessible.
Washroom
There is an accessible washroom in the lounge.
The accesible washroom is gender neutral.
Locker Rooms
The locker rooms are located in the basement. There is not an accessible route to access them.
Ice Surface
There is a small transition strip between the lounge and the ice shed (< 0.5 in).
There is no automatic door operator for the door to the ice shed.
The door is light and relatively easy to open with room to turn.
There is no portable ramp or accessible route to the ice surface.
